Surface roughness
Surface specifications mostly depend on the purpose for which the O-ring is designed. Therefore, no universally valid surface roughness values can be given, even if some general guidelines do exist.
The table below gives limiting values for surface roughness covering most possible uses of the O-ring. These values are based on ISO 3601-2 and should only be considered as a recommendation.
